About Natoya
Natoya Johnson is a mother, entrepreneur, musician, and an aspiring evangelist at Live for Christ Ministries. She hails from Chicago, IL, where she grew up with both of her parents and a host of siblings. Her father was a musician, her mother served as a teacher for several years, and some of her aunts were missionaries in their home church. Consequently, music, church, and education were foundational elements of her upbringing.
While her life has had its struggles, Natoya is grateful that adversity has not prevented her from achieving her goals. When faced with setbacks, she has often felt defeated, but she finds strength and the ability to "get back up" through prayer—a motto that has guided her life. A notable fact about Natoya is that she is a female drummer proficient in a wide range of genres, including jazz, blues, and gospel. This lifelong passion and gift, which she credits to God and her father, developed without any formal music school attendance.
Having experienced the loss of loved ones—including her father, aunts, and close childhood friends—at an early age, Natoya’s way of healing is by giving back. She is passionate about educating others on healthy life choices, focusing on areas such as breast cancer, heart disease, gun violence, and suicide prevention. She finds deep gratitude in knowing she is making a difference.
