Andrea Donovan is the President of Andrea Donovan Senior Living Advisors, a senior housing consulting and geriatric care management firm that was opened in 2006. She holds the designation of Care Manager Certified conferred upon her by the National Academy Of Certified Care Managers.
Since the opening of Andrea Donovan Senior Living Advisors in 2006, she has toured and evaluated over 450 independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and Continuing Care Retirement Communities in the Chicago metropolitan area. Her research has surpassed 5000 hours.
She assists seniors and family members who are caring for an elderly or cognitively impaired loved one by helping them navigate complicated decisions involving long term placement, clinical care, insurance, non-medical home care, long term planning, and not to mention – unforeseen events. As the bridge between formal and informal networks, she develops an integrated service plan that respects, to the greatest degree possible, the abilities and preferences of the senior and his or her family.
Andrea is also a Certified Guardian, and has taught tap, ballet, and jazz dance to cognitively impaired seniors on a voluntary basis.
